Hendrick Boards

Remember yesterday morning when I said that I felt it will be important to discuss animal matters from everywhere and with any organization, not just Best Friends Animal Society? Here is that additional blog post!

Hendrick Boards is an eco-friendly skate and apparel shop that is run by triplet brothers here in southern California. Not only are the clothes they make and the boards they design themselves amazing, but a portion of EACH sale is donated directly to a local animal shelter or rescue! How awesome are these guys?!

The idea behind Hendrick Boards comes from a rescue dog named William. When founder and CEO David Hendrickson was volunteering at a shelter one day, William came in with a couple brothers and sisters and immediately he knew that William was in for a long haul health-wise. Having been poisoned before birth, William's brothers and sisters were not as lucky as he was, but David knew William was special and he adopted him then and there. While skateboarding together one day, he came up with the idea to combine his love for skateboarding and animals and formed Hendrick Boards. As the saying goes, the rest is history.

I had the pleasure of meeting the founder and CEO of Hendrick Boards, David Hendrickson, and he is one of the sweetest and most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. As a fellow animal lover, we instantly connected and I know I definitely made a partner-in-crime with him when it comes to all matters that are animal related!

Hendrick Boards is a company that stands behind what they say, they walk the walk, talk the talk. Truly putting what they say into action, these guys are the real deal when it comes to animal rescue and that is why they are some of my biggest inspirations. I have always wanted to work for Best Friends Animal Society-Los Angeles, but now I am adding on to my "allotted dream space" and putting Hendrick Boards on that list as well. To work for either organization would be more than a dream come true, it would be an honor.

Be sure to check out their website HERE!

You should also check out David's OTHER non-profit (this guy just doesn't sleep), A Loving Goodbye. You won't be sorry you did.
